Abstract: In this paper an example case study is provided that used data collected during an inline inspection run of a damaged pipeline. The assessments included the development of finite element models constructed using the geometric ILI data. Integral to the assessments were integration of actual pressure history data that when used in conjunction with a cumulative damage assessment model determined the remaining life of the selected anomaly. Additionally, the assessment utilized prior full-scale experimental data to confirm the accuracy of the models. Readers are provided with a systematic approach for evaluating damaged pipelines using ILI caliper tool data.
