The Pipelines Maintenance Centre is a specialised unit within British Gas H.Q. Pipelines Operations Department.
The Centre has a specific centralised emergency role particularly relating to steel pipelines operating in the range up to 7 bar and from 7 bar to 75 bar.
The paper describes the development of the Centre through to it's role in the Centralised Emergency Material and Equipment Scheme (CEME) and how the Centre is operated to best ensure an efficient response to emergencies in a cost effective manner. |
