Cathodic protection is unfortunately still regarded by many engineers, technicians and operators as some sort of "black box" method of preventing corrosion.
Most cathodic protection engineers will agree that it is not a concise science and that some art is involved.
It is the purpose of this paper to submit an appreciation of cathodic protection, and to show that it is not a "black box" technology only known and exercised by a few. |
